How to Get Started
Step 1: Install the Asset Tracking & Insights App
- Visit the ServiceNow Store
- Search for “Asset Tracking & Insights”.
- Click on Request App and fill information to get application.
- Follow the setup guide to connect your systems.
Step 2: Connect Your IOTTAG Account within ServiceNow app
- Open Asset Tracking & Insights app.
- Go to Integration Profile page in the right sidebar.
- Login by account is provided by IOTTAG to sync your ServiceNow account with IOTTAG using the simple setup wizard.
Step 3: Start Monitoring
- Begin tracking your assets, receiving, and accessing real-time data directly in ServiceNow app.
Step 4: Scale Your Solution
- Contact IOTTAG support for help configuring advanced features or scaling up your system as your project grows.

Take the next step in revolutionising your asset management with IOTTAG and ServiceNow!
Step 1: Open application
- Search for Asset Tracking & Insights App in the menu.

Step 2: Login IOTTAG account to sync data
- Navigate to the Integration Profile page.
- Enter credentials.

- After a successful login, the page will reload and display your integration information.
Step 3: Attach an Atlas Devices to ServiceNow Assets
Pre Conditions:
Instruction:
- Navigate to the Asset Management page.
- Select the Atlas device you want to attach.
- Then, click on the Attach button at the top.

- After the device has been successfully linked, wait a minute for detection and check the status of the device.

Its status will be updated from “New” to “In range.”

Asset Management
Main Features
Display the device list and their status.
Attach and detach devices.
Details
Columns in the table
Sys ID: A unique identifier for the record.
Device ID: The identification number of the device.
Device Type: Indicates the type of device (e.g., BLE – Bluetooth Low Energy).
Status: The current status of the device (e.g., In range).
ServiceNow Asset ID: A unique identifier for the asset in ServiceNow.
Mac Address: The device’s MAC address.
IMEI: The device’s International Mobile Equipment Identity.
Latest Location: The latitude and longitude coordinates of the device’s last known location.
Last Location Datetime: The timestamp of the last recorded location.

Attach and Detach device
Attach
Select the device you want to attach.
Click on the Attach button.
Choose the asset you want to attach.

Detach
Select the device you want to detach.
Click on the Detach button.
Confirm the detachment.

Asset Historical Management
Main Features
View the history of a specific device that is already attached.
Details
Select the device to view the history of this equipment.
Select the date range to view the device history over a specific period of time.

Asset Missing Management
Main Features
Allows users to check the presence of devices within a specified time range.
Exports the result list to a CSV file for easy record-keeping and analysis.

Display Table
Select the date range to check the device presence.
Filter devices by their status (optional).

Export Missing Data
Click on the “Export Lost Prevention Report” button.
Select the date range.
Select the devices you want to export.

Maintenance Management
Main Features
View details of utilisation devices and asset tags by MAC Address, ServiceNow Asset ID, and Maintenance Status.
View information of the utilisation device or asset tag and update it.
Confirm maintenance after completing maintenance for a utilisation device or asset tag that is due and needs maintenance.
Details
Display Table
Select the Device Type and Device Status of the utilisation device.

View details of the device and edit.
Select the device you want to view/edit.
Click on the “View Information” button.
Update the information and submit.

Confirm Maintenance
Select the utilization device you want to confirm maintenance for.
If maintenance is due, a popup confirming the time will be displayed.
Select the maintenance date and time, then submit.

Utilisation
Main Features:
Visualize device usage patterns through column charts illustrating total moving time and stationary time per day.
Gain a high-level understanding of overall usage distribution with a pie chart displaying the proportion of moving time, stationary time, and undetermined time.
Access detailed historical records in a table format, providing granular information on each instance of status change, including timestamps and durations.
