How to Get Started

Step 1: Install the Asset Tracking & Insights App

    • Visit the ServiceNow Store.
    • Search for “Asset Tracking & Insights”.
    • Click on Request App and fill information to get application.
    • Follow the setup guide to connect your systems.

Step 2: Connect Your IOTTAG Account within ServiceNow app

    • Open Asset Tracking & Insights app.
    • Go to Integration Profile page in the right sidebar.
    • Login by account is provided by IOTTAG to sync your ServiceNow account with IOTTAG using the simple setup wizard.

Step 3: Start Monitoring

    • Begin tracking your assets, receiving, and accessing real-time data directly in ServiceNow app.

Step 4: Scale Your Solution

    • Contact IOTTAG support for help configuring advanced features or scaling up your system as your project grows.

Step 1: Open application
    • Go to System Application > My Company Applications.
    • Click on Installed tab, select the application.
    • In the Related Links, click on Switch to this Application
    • Navigate to “{your_instance}/x/iotlt/tracking-app” link to access application.
Step 2: Login IOTTAG account to sync data
    • Navigate to “{your_instance}/x/iotlt/tracking-app/integration-profile”, this is Integration Profile page.
    • Enter credentials.
    • After login successful, the page will be reloaded and display your integration information. 
Step 3: Attach an Atlas Devices to ServiceNow Assets
Pre Conditions:
– Ensure at least one gateway and device has been created in the Atlas platform, if not please contact with IOTTAG admin.
 
Instruction:
    • Navigate to “{your_instance}/x/iotlt/tracking-app/assets”, this is Asset Management page.
    • Select the Atlas device want to attach.
    • Then click on Attach button on top. 
    • After device has been linked successful, wait a minute for detection and check status of device.
    • It’s status has been updated from New > In range.

      • Columns in table:
        • Sys ID: A unique identifier for the record.
        • Device ID: Identification number of the device.
        • Device Type: Indicates the device type (e.g., BLE – Bluetooth Low Energy).
        • Status: Current status of the device (e.g., In range).
        • ServiceNow Asset ID: Unique ServiceNow identifier for the asset.
        • Mac Address: Device’s MAC address.
        • IMEI: Device’s International Mobile Equipment Identity.
        • Latest Location: Latitude and longitude coordinates of the device’s last known location.
        • Last Location Datetime: Timestamp of the last recorded location.
    • Attach and Detach device
      • Attach
        • Select device want to attach.
        • Click on Attach button.
        • Choose the asset that you want to attach.

      • Detach
        • Select device want to attach.
        • Click on Detach button.
        • Confirm detach.

    • Select Date Range to view device history over a certain period of time.

Export Missing Data

    • Click on Export Lost Prevention Report button.
    • Select the Date Range.
